The Six Paramitas/Perfections Other Side

Heavenly mercy and Teachers' virtue,

Glad to have the chance to share the idea of "the sides" from the six Paramitas.

Usually when we speaking of the six Paramitas, we will come up with this lines:

"The six Paramitas is the way people practice to have better virtue, to learn the god and buddha's behavior."

"When we apply the six Paramitas in our live, it can lead us from drowning in this side, in ocean of suffering from pain, life and death, to the other side which is peacful and harmony."

From reading the words in the line, we could understand that six Paramitas can bring us to a peacful world. But why does the sentence describe this side as an ocean of suffering, and the other side is peacful and harmony? I would like to explain these contents.

To make us understand, I take reference from lines in "The Holy Registration", "Tao Propagation lines" (which Tao Master speaks when attain Tao), "White Sun Era" and "Yi Jing (I Ching)"

The Holy Registration: "To all living beings who have not yet been saved, as the disasters of fire and water draw near: The Enlightened Teacher provides an opportunity to guide those destined to learn, helping to keep selves away from such fates."

Tao Propagation lines: "It is here the truth, where stable (true water) and peace (true fire) is fully gathered. Now, the teacher is going to point you the way to the glory."

What is the disasters of fire and water? Generally speaking, we would say the water are floods and fire are wars. But when we claim our mind and look deep in detail, we will find out that, in reality, all these disasters were all started from our kindness/wisdom covered.

In Yi Jing's symbol, there are constructed with six strings (which we call each as Yao "爻" ). The three Yaos on top show the state of outside, sometimes means situation, others are body condition. Here we take it as our body. We discribe the body's desire as water. To illistrate, see that when we want something, our body produce water. Example, when we see some treat, our mouth will generate saliva; when we can't get something, we're sad and tears dropped; Or even when it comes to adult stuff, when boy meets girl, well, theres also water issues.

The three Yaos at the bottom shows fire, which represent our mind/thoughts. There's usually hundreds of thoughts flashing throught our mind, just like fire fluttering. When our mind comes up with fury, greed or some unwise selections. In Buddha's word, it is illustrated as burnning down the kindess forest. 

To draw the theory down in lines, I will take the Ukrainian-Russian War as example. Why, and how was the war started. We go deep, and we find Putin. When his eye (body, water) sees the benifits in Ukraine, he wants it. Greed and fury (thoughts, fire) covered his mind. Then on Council, he transmit his thoughts to his men. Then the chain reaction end up lead to the war happened, which takes lifes with families departed. From the viewpoint, we could see the root of disasters.

Putting the theory together: one man's desire is water. And look at the billions of being on earth, do you see the Great Flood, where Noah's ark flotting on?

Then we take a look at the Tao Propagation lines:
"It is here the truth, where stable (true water) and peace (true fire) is fully gathered. Now, the teacher is going to point you the way to the glory."

When we find the truth on us (Every beings has the same truth). Our mind is Qian(乾,天), which is clean and clear. Wisdom, kindness and harmony fufill our mind. Our body is Kun(坤, 地), which is robust, with no selfish, able to apply, present the words that god wants to told his kids.

When our body trun from Water into Earth, it's no longer floating. Our heart no longer feel unsafe. With steady goals in mind, we are now on this side

A man with a steady mind, we sad he is the God's Ark. He is the angel that is able to bring more brothers and sisters back to heaven, leaving from the suffering ocean. 

For White Sun Era (the era where we are now), the Yi Jing's symbol is 泰(Tai)

轉識成智 借假修真

感謝天恩師德

今天後學在這邊,學習用道場日常談到的基礎道念借假修真來解析何謂轉識成智

開始講解之前,我們一樣先做一點名詞解釋:
前五識 為 眼、耳、鼻、舌、身
第六識 為 意識
第七識 為 末那識,執著「我」是唯一,為*四惑所困
第八識 為 心田,裡面種滿各種意識種子,當因緣成熟之時,種子就會發芽,引導我們的一舉一動

轉識成智,什麼是識心做主?

我們用簡單的案例來說明:

眼睛看到(前五識)一樣喜歡(第六識)的東西,會想要(第六識)擁有它,我(第七識)就把這個喜歡的東西種進我們的心田(第八識 阿賴耶識)

在這人世間,一切皆因緣而生,因緣而滅,一切物質都有成住壞空

們看到一件東西想要的時候,會起貪念

們得不到的時候,會憤怒,忌妒,失落

們得到以後,我們害怕失去,會恐懼,會緊張

最終在失去以後,們的內心,被難過及懊悔所佔據

當我們的心執著在世間時,我們的起心動念,都是跟著我們眼耳鼻舌所感受,所接觸而起舞,最後透過意識、末那識,變成因緣種子種進我們的阿賴耶識。 這些種子,會一直跟隨著我們輪轉,當下次因緣成熟之時,便再次發芽,影響我們的作為,最後又變成新的種子種進我們的心田。

當追求外在的虛花假景為一切行動的根源時,即是認假為真


求道以後,智慧展現

我們找到自性真主人,

妙觀察智,觀察到到一切眾生,都是老中(母字)的分靈(平等性智)

 一切成住壞空皆是假象,惟有自性不滅(*大圓鏡智),

外我們看到眾生還在人世間受凡塵慾望之苦,便用我們的身心(成所做智)來行佛事,展現道的美好,救渡眾生

內我們看到我們內心的起心動念(念頭眾生),透過肉體去感受世界,學習調和內心的脾氣毛病,理解我們真正該做的事,將我們的心,轉一清淨

天心作主的當下,內外兼修,就是借假修真

(內心純淨無染無雜念,視透真假;肉體沒有慾望,是上天的公器,一切行為只為救濟眾生)

我們再看遠一點

求道之後,我們知道自性不滅,他是亙古不變、永恆存在的

而我們的肉身是假,有生有死,

當我們連生死的假象都能看透,不為肉體輪迴所困,就是超生了死(了解生死,超越生死)

(內心純淨無染無雜念,視透真假;肉體沒有慾望,是上天的公器,一切行為只為救濟眾生)

佛在世間覺

=> 眾生是迷昧的佛,佛是覺悟的眾生

眾生著迷肉體假象,佛用肉體行天事

所以所謂轉識成智,其實講的就是,或聖或凡都在我們一念之間

自性是可以隨緣起妙用的,當我們感知到外在的景物的時候,就會在我們的自性上起相同的影像

如何證明我們心所見都是影像呢,我們可以做一個簡單的測試,

當我們請大家在心中想像一個大象的影像時,是否大家的內心都有生成一個大象的樣子,但是我們有實際看到他嗎,沒有囉 


* 四惑

四惑、四根本煩惱。即我癡、我見、我慢、我愛。於唯識宗,此乃與第七末那識相應而起之四種根本煩惱。
我癡,即無明,謂愚於我之相而迷於無我之理。
我見,即我執,謂對於非我之法妄計為我。
我愛,即我貪,謂對於所執之我深生耽著。
我慢,即倨傲,謂恃所執之我,令心高舉。

六度波羅蜜 彼岸

感謝天恩師德

今天後學在這裡,跟大家分享在備課時由求道表文想通有關道場課題『六度波羅蜜』,"此岸" 和 "彼岸" 的見解


通常在規劃收集六度波羅蜜課題時,一般開頭,我們都會引用以下說法:

六度梵語ṣaḍ-pāramitā)即波羅密,為佛教術語,指六種菩薩修行所具有的品德特質,被認為行之可渡生死苦惱大海,到達涅槃安樂彼岸。(引用自維基百科)

雖然文字句子看似可以讀懂,但是為什麼生死苦惱叫做大海,涅槃安樂叫做彼岸呢?
這邊後學引用龍天表及部分點道詞、白陽運期及易經象解,來跟各位分享後學此題解析

先列出各項素材:

龍天表:「今時眾生塗碳,未得救拯,劫煞已到眼前,所以立下此會,廣救無數眾生,拯起此著普收有緣種子不啻」

點道詞:「當前即是真陽關,真水真火已俱全,余今指你一條路,燈光照耀在眼前

何謂水火劫煞,一般道場說法,可能會說水劫是水災,火劫是烽煙戰火,但其實,我們再細心去想,仔細去看,最終,我們會看到,其實所有的災劫,都是從我們內心的一念無明而起

易經的卦象上,上三爻指的是外境,外在,也就是我們的肉體,當我們的肉體被欲望(無始貪嗔癡)所牽纏時,會產生水分,例如:見到好吃的東西,想吃的時候會流口水、眼睛看,得不到物品的時候會流眼淚、甚至男女之間的情愛牽纏,也跟水有關聯(引用性理題釋74:何謂空身空心空性空法 — 身體本是父母所生,亦具父母氣息,九空長流 ,種種不淨,四大假合 ,終須敗壞。)

下三爻指的是內心,當我們內心的念頭,還被世間慾望所牽纏,起瞋恨,忌妒,猜想,憤冀念頭之時,引用佛家用語,即為火燒功德林之象

以實際案例來說明一切關聯,為什麼國際上會有戰亂? 追本朔源,會來到發動戰爭的領導者,為什麼一位領導者會發動戰爭:
他看到別的國家的資源,內心起了憤恨之心,於是在議會上,念頭由口一句話傳達給所有的下屬,牽一髮而動全局,最終導致百千士兵的傷亡,千萬家庭的破碎,以此現象來觀世界,水火劫煞,皆來自於我們一各個的起心動念。

我們可以看到,當一個人肉體有慾望的時候,是,當世間云云八十億眾生的慾望混雜在一起的時候,是否能看到,世間即為人生苦海,人就在這苦海中翻來覆去,無法超脫

接下來看點道詞:當前即是真陽關,真水真火已俱全。

何謂真水真火?

求道真主人當家作主之時,內心為乾,乾無念,佛心、道心、慈悲心展現(沒有私人的念頭,一心為上天辦事),肉體無欲,坤無欲(肉體不被自身慾望牽引,是上天的公器,為成佛事,救渡九六眾生)
我們的肉體從變成了大,會載浮載沉嗎? 不會,會惴惴不安嗎,不會,因為我們已踏實,腳踏實地,有明確的人生方向,這就是上岸,從人生煩惱的生死苦海中,上到清境自在的佛國淨土。

這時候變成大地的修道人是什麼,就是法船,要渡人上岸阿,渡人渡人,究竟在渡什麼,就是渡人的一顆心,你是穩固的法船,你是引保師,明白道理的你就要渡人,讓更多仍然在大海中載浮載沉的眾生能夠藉由你這片穩固的大地能到達、踏上清淨自在的彼岸,就是白陽天使的任務。

白陽期的卦象是什麼,泰卦囉
三陽開泰,開的這個泰,就是以上所述的地天泰。

求道的時候水火轉地天,他的過程 = 抽坎填離
水(坎)卦中的慾望(陽爻),跟內心之火(離)卦仍然執著物質(陰爻)的部分抽換,便成地天泰
是一個脫凡入聖的過程
